The best talent builds for rogues these days are the ones that either rock for pvp or pve situations but have you ever wondered about different scenarios? These next few talent builds will not be of the ordinary solely because everything else has been done before but i consider these to be “specialized” talent builds that I will be creating for each class over the week!

URGENT: If you are looking to get the absolute MOST out of your Rogue and you have not been doing what you believe is capable from your Rogue then you should read this! By reading Zygor’s guide you will be able to level faster with your Rogue or ANY OTHER CLASS than anyone and you will also learn your class better.

Note - By ordering by using my links you will be able to save a very heavy percentage off of the guides normal price. I have been using Zygor’s since level 70 and it took me around 5 days to get to level 80!

Try it for yourself and if you aren’t satisfied then simply return it for 100% of your money back, check it out and be amazed, I knew I was.

Most World of Warcraft Rogue gamers LOVE to do hardcore burst damage for PvP and generally speaking PvE is all about combo point obtaining and managing while keeping up Rogue DoT’s on the target for the best DPS possible so let us find you some of these first starting with my favorite PvE Rogue Talent Build.

[51/13/7] The PvE Rogue Build That Will Make Others Wish They Roll’ed A Rogue

This will be the PvE build of choice that gets you through from being a low-end level 80 to the point where you are the best of the best in the top of the line 80′s as of 3.0.9 which is an Assassination build mixed with a little Combat and an even littler amount of Subtlety.

You will be all about your poisons with this build and of course you will need a good set of daggers for it to work right because you will using Mutilate as your main attack. You will also be keeping up on your Hunger for Blood making sure it is always at 3 stacks (this will be removed in 3.1) and for the most optimal DPS possible, make sure you have Rupture up at all times or at least for the majority of the time.

With Slice n Dice on this build you should work up two combo points hit Slice n Dice then right before it is about to finish out you hit either Envenom or Eviscerate so it refreshes the Slice n Dice timer thus creating the best DPS flow possible.

[0/17/54] Watch Those Death Knights Get WTFOWNED

Yes the Death Knights are running free on WoW but that does not mean we have to cower against them anymore. We are Rogues and we should damn well start acting like one, we have the magic and the moves, now lets put all of them into play.

The talent build I gave you all for basic PvP encounters are mainly for anything that is a little overpowered such as a Mighty Morphin’ Pally Ranger and the MEGAOMGWTF Death Knight, now lets discuss how to shut them up.

Since we are Rogues we should only strike when the setting is right so we will stay stealthed until we do Premeditation on our target and then we come up behind them and do an Ambush! This should and will slow them down by a lot making them have no where to go if you time this right.

You will then Hemorrhage them and get enough Combo Points do hold down a nice Kidney Shot which after this point you will have to fight them out. If it is a caster class it will most likely be dead by now or you will, if not then you should either Dismantle them or you can wait for a Parry which then you will use Riposte on them, making sure they have no weapon or they are stunned for most of the time.

Specialized Talent Builds To Meet Your Needs

Here are the builds that most people can not find on the internet at any place which normally cause people to fail at what they are doing. I have never found a Rogue build just for farming gold or soloing Burning Crusade instances and this is the reason I made them just so someone will benefit from this and hopefully will make some serious loot.

[0/19/52] Open the Booty! Yar!

What we Rogues do best is lock picking and this is mainly because we are the only class that can and kind of because we are a little more sexy than most. Anyways, with Rogue Chest Farmining there comes certain dangers and certain things you need to keep in mind the whole time so you do not die and so you can do it in the shortest time possible, which of course increases your gold an hour rating, right?

This build equips you with every talent possible to keep from dieing and to just stay alive. You have talents reducing your cooldown times on abilities such as Preparation and Vanish along with Distract too! This is the same build I have been using to farm gold with on my Rogue when I want to do chest runs in any Burning Crusade instance.

[0/21/50] Disenchant this Rogue Build

As you could have guessed this is a build that gets you to kill a boss in an instance just to Disenchant his loot to farm materials for your or others Enchanting professions. Now you may think that anyone can do this with any build, and I will say you are right, but also I will say with my builds I will do it better.

Now this build is similar to the Chest Farm build but that is mainly because of the stealth and cooldown talents that I use in this same build. You will be relying on dodging their hard boss hits and also getting past most of the add’s in the instance and if you cannot do that you will be able to Vanish + Preparation + Vanish, if needed.

Check out this build and all others on this page and tell me what you think, what would you do differently? Have these builds worked for you before? I love to know the ways other Rogues do what they do and of course like normal, if it is good enough it will be published on Azeroth Now!

Some people think that being a Mage is difficult, and some think think that they have been nerfed too far to ever make a comeback, well I just can not help but to laugh. The Mage if anything is still one of the most overpowered classes in World of Warcraft today and this is the reason I am writing this is to show you how easy it is. Below I have included some examples of what to do against other classes you will go against in some sort of PvP, it may not be a full proof guide but at least some will have a better chance.

Druid ? You will need to do as much damage as possible and as quickly as possible. A Druid will be able to heal, and do lots of damage and they will attempt to make you run out of mana but we will not let that will we? You are going to have to use Counterspell in the middle of their heals and while they can not heal for 10 seconds you hopefully can kill them before you have to retry that step all over again.

Hunter ? Most judge the Hunter as one of the most overpowered classes in the game, while this might be true for some, it is not if you know how to use them. The thing about Hunter’s is that they rely too much on range to do their special overpowered skills so you should use this to your advantage. Hunters will need 8 yards in order to do their range skills and 5 yards to do their melee (which is terrible anyways) so it is best to somehow stay within 7 or 6 yards from the Hunter so they will be completely out of luck. The strategy while fighting the Hunter is to slow them with frost as much as possible while keeping their pet polymorphed because they will most likely keep you interrupted.

Mage ? Mage against another Mage is one of the epic battles that you love to see and hate to be in, because it gets nasty! You will doing as much damage as possible and timing your Counterspell in order to win this terrible battle of endurance. If you place a Counterspell correctly then you should be able to bandage yourself enough to win this. If you are unsure of what to wear to this fancy battle a must would be high end stamina gear, as health will be the factor that wins this.

Paladin ? Have you been able to plow through the Paladin’s nine lives? If you haven’t yet then you will learn now that it is never a quick fight. You will be using your wand a lot and you will conserving mana as much as possible. There is a tactic I like to use in a situation like this where you will be bluffing them into thinking that you would be able to take them down in your next spell causing them to use their precious shield, but in fact you are using every bit of mana to make them think you could finish them off. You see, bluffing is not just an effective poker strategy. It can also be essential in World of Warcraft game. If you used the tactic I stated then you should be finishing them off with a combination of wand magic or some bum spells that you can cast thanks to some sort of mana regeneration, this fight will take a while but stick in there and make them use up their mana first!

Priest ? This situation will be tricky and very deadly if you last too long. Face it, you will not out mana or HP the Priest no matter what you do, so in order to remedy this you will be needing to silence the Priest during their healing so you are able to finish them for good. You should be on the lookout if they are running at you because there is only one thing they have on their mind, fear. This fear is a 5 yard radius and they use it to get a few hits in easy while being able to DoT you without your say so. Finish it off quick, and be precise and you will have this fight won.

Rogue ? Never, never, sit down with a Rogue lurking in the shadows, or you will soon find yourself laying in a ditch. The Rogue is a class that uses fast attack speed and interrupts in order to keep you from doing your hard hits on them. You should always use Cone of Cold, Frost Nova, or anything in order to slow them down, and never let them be in front of you hitting you while you are casting your Firebolt just to be interrupted by a Rogues Kick. The way you will win is very simple, freeze them in place with Frost Nova then Fireball/Pyroblast them to death.

Shaman ? This is a heavy hitting melee class along with equal spell damage. The thing to this fight will be killing off their totems and staying away from the wrath of the Shaman running at you, you are a Mage, not a tank. You should kill the totems because you will not want to be slowed and you surely do not want your spells grounded, you don’t have infinite mana now do you?

Warlock ? In order to win this fight you first need to stop thinking of how Warlocks do not need their Fear, because we will be dispelling this as soon as it lands. With Fear dispelled their other Fear’s will be subject to diminishing returns and be useless to them, and their 4th Fear cast will be immune. Their pet classes should not be attacked but instead keep them away from you using whatever means you have, such as Frost Nova or Cone of Cold, whatever you prefer. Of course with a Warlock comes a massive amount of DoT’s which should be dispelled if possible, and since their spells are all Shadow and Fire based, Counterspell their shadow based moves and use Fire Ward on yourself to shield yourself from their fire based spells.

Warrior ? A Warrior will be your hardest fight possible if they are skilled well. You MUST and I really do stress must keep them away from you, because the most range they would have will be a gun. You will need to have Ice Armor up to reduce their melee and Frost Nova them as much as possible, and if they go to Intercept you then you would simply Blink out of it. If you have everything timed well and they are decent then this will at least be an equal fight.

Now that we have cleared up that silly myth about a Mage being weak, don’t you think it is time that you went out and started to dominate some Arena’s and maybe a few Battlegrounds here and there? That is a great mind you have there, but you will need a talent build for that, but lucky for you I have done that work for you too in a previous post here on Azeroth Now.

Part 2: Getting To Level 19

By now you?ve most likely conquered all of Azeroth and at least most of Outlands on your main, getting to 19 again sounds like no big deal, right? Well it isn?t. But there are a few very important things you?ll want to do well before you ding 19. The reason is simple, no one wants to spend hours upon hours and thousands of gold on a character that they accidentally level to 20 trying to complete a silly quest in Westfall.

Instance Gear

First and foremost you?ll want to gather all of you gear before lvl 19. There are some options in gear that you?ll want to consider (the specifics of which will be explored in a later article), but below is a list of items you will definitely need to instance grind for. It would be wise to, if possible, grab all of these items to play around with and find which combination you prefer. I made the mistake of not grabbing all of these, and now I am unable to.

[Serpent's Shoulders] – The best shoulders a 19 twink can get by a long shot. Grab these off of Lady Anacondra in Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

[Blackened Defias Armor] – One of two chest pieces you?ll want to look at for your twink. Pick this one up from Edwin Van Cleef in The Deadmines in Westfall.

[Gloves of the Fang] – Not an item I generally have equipped on my twink, but definitely something to pick up ?just in case?. Drops from Druids of the Fang in Wailing Caverns in The Barrens. (Note: This item is BoE and can be bought from the Auction House as well.)

[Belt of the Fang] – Also not an item I normally equip. Pick this up if you want to save around 30g for a [Deviate Scale Belt] on the Auction House. Also drops from Lady Anacondra in Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

[Venomstrike] – The absolute best ranged weapon for a lvl 19 can be picked up from Lord Serpentis in Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

[Shadowfang] – The best sword for a lvl 19 is also a random drop in Shadowfang Keep. This item is extremely difficult to get, and as a BoE, can go for thousands of gold on the Auction House.

[Assassin's Blade] – The best dagger for a lvl 19 is a random drop in Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest. This item is extremely difficult to get, and as a BoE, can go for thousands of gold on the Auction House. I was lucky enough to get two of these, more on that in a later article.

[Cruel Barb] – An alternate main hand, drops off of Edwin Van Cleef in The Deadmines in Westfall.

[Thief's Blade] – An alternative offhand, drops off of Smite in The Deadmines in Westfall.

Quest-Related Gear

It?s likely that you?ll come across these while getting to 19, but it?s necessary to complete these quests earlier than Blizzard intends for normal characters (lvl 20+). I won?t go over these in great detail as they are very straight forward, but I will hit the higher points. To complete these before lvl 19 you must have the assistance of a higher lvl character, as these are intended for characters lvl 22-32.

Alliance:

Quest line for [Seal of Wrynn]: Can be obtained at lvl 16. To begin this quest line first kill Edwin Van Cleef in The Deadmines in Westfall, you?ll receive an Unsent Letter which begins these quests. Throughout this 12 quest chain you?ll need to kill Bazil Thredd in The Stockades in Stormwind, gather a few easy to obtain items, and do a lot of running around.

Quest line for [Tunic of Westfall]: Can be obtained at lvl 14. This is an optional piece, but it?s great for the agility. This is also something that only Alliance twinks can pick up. These quests begin with The Defias Brotherhood quest line in Westfall, which eventually leads to you killing Edwin Van Cleef and receiving this item as a reward.

Horde:

Quest for [Seal of Sylvanas]: Can be obtained at lvl 18. Simply pick up the quest Arugal Must Die! from Dalar Dawnweaver in The Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Venture to Shadowfang Keep and kill Arugal to obtain his head.

For The Hardcore

Easily one of the most sought after items for a lvl 19 twink of any class is the hard-to-obtain [Arena Grand Master] trinket, and for good reason, this thing is an absolute beast. Nearly everyday I log on my twink I receive two or more messages asking how to get this trinket, and here?s how.

This is certainly the hardest challenge you will face on your quest to create an elite twink. Before you begin you?ll want to be at least below lvl 17, because you?ll be gaining some heavy experience from the process included to get this trinket. Get your twink to a point where you can stop a dedicate a week up to two months on doing nothing but trying to get this trinket. When you?re ready, begin the corpse drag through Stranglethorn Vale to reach Gurubashi Arena. I?ve found this to be the easiest route to travel, from southwest Westfall. (Of course this differs for Horde, but you get the idea). Every three hours, everyday, a chest will spawn in the middle of the arena. Inside this chest is an [Arena Master], and this is your goal: collect 12x[Arena Master] from Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Vale.

How It Works

At 12AM, 3AM, 6AM, 9AM, 12PM, 3PM, 6PM, and 9PM server time each day a chest will spawn, this is announced by the NPC Short John Mithril. Seems easy enough, just loot a chest eight times a day. But there?s a twist, Gurubashi Arena is a World PvP area, meaning it?s a completely free for all arena. Even your own faction can attack you. On occasion you will get lucky and log on to find no one in the arena, but most of the time it is camped by several lvl 70s for whatever reason. Which leaves you with two options: be sneaky, or bring your own army of lvl 70 friends. Personally, when getting my trinket, I had a few friends help me fend off anyone intent on one-shotting me. No matter how you plan to tackle this it will take at the least a week, (it took me just under two weeks of attempts 4-5 times a day, everyday).

Your First Trinket

After you?ve snagged your first [Arena Master] you?ll need to talk to Short John Mithril, the arena organizer. He?s fairy easy to find, being the only NPC in the arena. Just look for a goblin in pirate attire on the far side of the arena seats. When you turn in your first trinket he will ask you to collect 11 more before he awards you with your shiny new [Arena Grand Master].

You?ve got the gear, the enchants, the consumables, and the ego. Now it?s time to dominate Warsong Gulch. For the most part this guide is going to be common sense, but I?ll hit on a few important things. Let?s dive right in and wrap this up.

Part 6: Talent Builds

With only 10 talent points to spend you actually have a pretty wide variety of builds to choose from depending on your play style. A lot of these are very situational, and this is by no means a definitive list.

Sinister Strike/Eviscerate Spam – This is actually my preferred build. This builds? intention is for you to spam Sinister Strike at every cooldown and an Eviscerate once you?ve stacked a few combo points. Burst DPS.

High Crit – This build takes advantage of all critical strike talents and also gives you 2% damage against humanoids.

Backstab Spam – This is for you sneaky Dagger Rogues who love to spam Backstab. Also has points in improved Gouge and a longer range on Sap.

Avoidance – Strictly a build for not getting hit. Ever. ?Okay, that?s a lie, but you do get 5% increased Dodge and Parry.

Duelist Build – I?ve found that this is a pretty nice simple build for duels. I?ve used this build quite a bit. Gives Crit and Dodge.

Stealth – Strictly a build that increases your Stealth ability.

Slice and Dice – I?m not a huge fan of Slice and Dice (maybe I should be?). But here?s your typical build at 19.

By now you?ve gotten the gear, the enchants, and you?re ready to dominate Warsong Gulch. But why not go one extra step to ensure that your twink is at its absolute best? Consumables will give you that last extra boost to max out your stats.

Part 5: Consumables and Addons

You?ll need to pick up Alchemy, Engineering, and First Aid and max them out to lvl 150 (lvl 225 for First Aid). These professions are very easy to power level quickly for little gold. There are a few items you?ll want to make and keep in your bags at all times.

Alchemy

Elixir of Lesser Agility: [Elixir of Lesser Agility]. [Recipe: Elixir of Lesser Agility] is a world drop and can be picked up on the Auction House.

Elixir of Minor Fortitude: [Elixir of Minor Fortitude]. Learn this from your Alchemy trainer.

Swiftness Potion: [Swiftness Potion]. [Recipe: Swiftness Potion] is a world drop and can be picked up on the Auction House.

Healing Potion: [Healing Potion]. Learn this from your Alchemy trainer.

Engineering

Explosive Sheep: [Explosive Sheep]. Learn this from your Engineering trainer. (I rarely use these, but they are nice to have just in case. I?ve killed several flag carriers who are just out of my range with low HP with these).

Big Bronze Bomb: [Big Bronze Bomb]. Learn this from your Engineering trainer. (Great for stunning a pack of players chasing your flag carrier).

First Aid

Heavy Mageweave Bandage: [Heavy Mageweave Bandage]. (Note: At lvl 19 you will not actually be able to make this item, only use it (which requires lvl 175 skill). Make a few stacks on your main, or pick up some on the Auction House).

Other Consumables

[Rumsey Rum Black Label]: Increases Stamina by 15 for 15 minutes. To get these you?ll need to take a lvl 60+ character into the instance Caverns of Time: Durnholde Keep (Escape from Durnholde, Old Hillsbrad, etc). Once in the instance head to Southshore and go into the Inn. The bartender sells this item. Stock up with plenty of these and mail them to your twink. (Purchasing alcohol for minors, yes I know!)

Heavy Sharpening Stone: [Heavy Sharpening Stone]. These are crafted by Blacksmiths, find someone to make some for you or grab them from the Auction House. Be sure to sharpen both of your weapons.

Scrolls. Something I rarely use, just because they are hard to come by in large quantities at 19. Some scrolls to look out for however are: [Scroll of Agility], [Scroll of Protection II], and [Scroll of Stamina].

Addons

One add-on you?ll definately need if you?ve picked up a Sword and a Dagger is Outfitter. When set up properly, Outfitter will equip your Dagger to the main-hand while Stealthed, and equip your Sword to the main-hand when not Stealthed. Why is this useful? Of all your abilities at 19 Ambush has the highest damage output potential, 2,500+ Ambush crits are not unheard of. By default you will always want a sword in the Main Hand. Sinister Strikes? damage is determined by weapon damage, and a good main-hand sword will maximize this. Problem is, you can?t Ambush with a Sword in the main-hand, you?ll need a Dagger.

Once you?ve downloaded and copied Outfitter to your Addon folder start the game. Open up your character sheet (C) and you?ll see a new icon in the top-right corner, click it.

Non-Stealth: Make sure to equip all of your ?normal? non-Stealthed gear (this includes your Sword), and click the checkbox next to Normal. After this, click Enable All at the top-center of your character sheet.

Stealth: Now equip your Dagger, make sure all of your other gear is still equipped. After this, click Enable All at the top-center of your character sheet.

When you Stealth this add-on will auto equip your Dagger for Ambush, then equip your Sword once your Ambush hits.

This is what will really make your twink shine in Warsong Gulch, ridiculous enchants. For the sake of keeping things simple I?ll break these down into a list similar to the armor list.

Part 4: Enchantments

Head

Since there are no actual head enchantments, you?ll need to pick up an item enchantment instead. To complete this you will need your lvl 70 character (Note: very important, if you plan on applying this enchant to [Lucky Fishing Hat] it will need to be acquired by a character on another account). To begin you?ll need to pick up a [Libram of Voracity], this is a world drop in lvl 48-56 regions and can also be picked up in the Auction House fairly cheap. You?ll also need to pick up a [Black Diamond] from the Auction House. The next two items (4x [Crystal Force], 4x [Whipper Root Tuber]) you?ll need will require some quest backtracking in lvl 50 regions. You will also need 30g to turn in at the end of these quests.

First, make a trip to Un?Goro Crater. Find the NPC J.D. Collie, she is located at the back of the cave at Marshall?s Refuge. You?ll need to complete all of her quests until you finish the quest Making Sense of It. Upon completing this quest you will receive [Crystal Pylon User's Manual]. Use the manual and then round up 10x [Green Power Crystal] and 10x [Blue Power Crystal] (Auction House or lootable from crystals in Un?Goro Crater). Take these crystals to the Eastern Crystal Pylon and convert them. You will receive 6x [Crystal Force].

Next stop: Felwood. Talk to the NPC Arathandris Silversky or Maybess Riverbreeze and pick up the quest Cleansing Felwood. After completeing this pick up the next quest Salve Via Hunting, also grab a [Cenarion Beacon] from the NPC. This quest is repeatable and you?ll need to do it twice. When it?s all said and done you will have gotten 4x [Cenarion Plant Salve]. Next, look around Felwood for Corrupted Whipper Root plants. Use your salve on these plants until you have 4x [Whipper Root Tuber] (Note: you may have to complete Salve Via Hunting more or less than 2 times to have enough salve).

By now you should have [Libram of Voracity], [Black Diamond], 4x [Crystal Force], 4x [Whipper Root Tuber], and 30g. Take a trip to Burning Steppes and speak to Mathredis Firestar. He will give you the quest Libram of Voracity. Accept the quest, turn it in, and choose [Lesser Arcanum of Voracity] (make sure to choose +8 Agility version) as your reward. And there you go, your head enchant. To use it simply apply it to a BoE helm and send it to your twink. If you are applying this to [Lucky Fishing Hat] your twink will have to trade with whoever has the enchant item and place their helm in the Will Not Be Traded slot.

Shoulders

Unless you were able to cheat the system when Burning Crusade released, there is currently no way to enchant your shoulders at lvl 19.

Back

Dodge

Chest

Major Health

Wrists

Superior Stamina

Hands

Superior Agility

Waist

Currently there is no way to enchant a belt.

Legs

Another item with no actual enchantment you?ll also need an item enchantment for your legs. Hands down the only thing you?ll need is [Nethercleft Leg Armor]. Crafted by Leatherworkers, this will run you a few hundred gold on the Auction House. To apply have a lvl 70 character attach this through Will Not Be Traded.

Feet

Minor Speed

Agility

Greater Stamina

Boar’s Speed

Melee Weapons

Agility

Crusader

Lifestealing

Ranged Weapons

Grab an [Accurate Scope] from the Auction House and have someone lvl 20 or higher apply this to your bow through the Will Not Be Traded slot.

Final Thoughts on Enchanting

Enchanting is a very expensive aspect of your twink, but certainly the most rewarding. Your leg enchant alone will be providing you with 400 HP and +12 Agility. Generally, when I need an enchant I?ll gather my materials from the Auction House and enter Trade Channel and ask for anyone who can do the enchant I need.

Now that you?ve chosen your race and began to gather your gear, let?s put everything into perspective by taking a look at your gear abroad. As a 19 Rogue you?ll want to focus on two stats: Stamina and Agility. Stamina of course increases your hit points, and Agility provides attack power, critical strike rating, armor, and dodge rating. To keep things simple I will list the best pieces of gear you can acquire for each armor slot, and how to get them.

Part 3: Obtaining Your Armor

Head

[Green Tinted Goggles] – Unless you get lucky, this will probably be your helm for quite some time. Can be made and equipped at 150 Engineering.

[Lucky Fishing Hat] – The absolute best helm avaliable. Can only be obtained through the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Extravaganza, (See bottom of this page for more information).

Neck

[Sentinel's Medallion] / [Scout's Medallion] – This is an item that you?ll need to pick up after farming some honor. This Warsong Gulch PvP reward will run you 65 honor and 20 Warsong Battle Marks. Available from vendors outside of the in-game entrances to Warsong Gulch for each faction.

Shoulders

[Serpent's Shoulders] – Hands down the only shoulders you?ll ever need. Pick these up from Lady Anacondra in Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

Back

[Sentry Cloak] – Being a BoE world drop, you?ll likely have to pick this up from the Auction House. Expect to dish out 100g or more for this item.

Chest

[Blackened Defias Armor] – Overall the best chest piece because of its huge stamina boost. Grab this from Edwin Van Cleef in The Deadmines in Westfall.

[Tunic of Westfall] (Alliance Only) – This chest is also very good due to its huge agility boost. Rewarded from a questline in Westfall. (See Getting To Level 19 for more information.)

Wrists

[Forest Leather Bracers] – BoE, can be picked up on the Auction House fairly cheap.

[Wrangler's Wristbands of the Monkey] – BoE, can be picked up on the Auction House fairly cheap.

Hands

[Scouting Gloves of the Monkey] – BoE, can be picked up on the Auction House fairly cheap.

Waist

[Deviate Scale Belt] – The best belt available. This item is crafted by Leatherworkers and is BoE. Pick this up on the Auction House or have a Leatherworker craft it for you.

[Belt of the Fang] – Another option with the same stats but less spirit. Pick this belt up from Lady Anachondra in The Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

Legs

[Dark Leather Pants] – BoE, can be picked up from the Auction House fairly cheap.

Feet

[Feet of the Lynx] – Being a BoE world drop, you?ll likely have to pick this up from the Auction House. Expect to dish out 100g or more for this item.

[Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots] – These boots are picked up from the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Extravaganza (discussed in a later article). What makes these boots the best is the fact that they are enchantable with post-Burning Crusade enchants. (See bottom of this page for more information).

Rings

[Seal of Wrynn] / [Seal of Sylvanas] – Pick this ring up from its quest line in Westfall or Silverpine Forest.

[Protector's Band] / [Legionnaire's Band] – This is an item that you?ll need to pick up after farming some honor. This Warsong Gulch PvP reward will run you 65 honor and 20 Warsong Battle Marks. Available from vendors outside of the in-game entrances to Warsong Gulch for each faction.

[Blood Ring] – Stamina ring. This item is a BoE world drop, and depending on your server, it is most likely outrageously overpriced on the Auction House.

[Meadow Ring of Eluding] – Dodge ring. This item is a BoE world drop, and depending on your server, it is most likely outrageously overpriced on the Auction House.

Trinkets

[Arena Grand Master] – Bar none, the best trinket available.

[Insignia of the Alliance] / [Insignia of the Horde] – Another trinket to always have equipped. This is likely one of the last items you?ll pick up. This PvP reward will run you 2805 honor points. Pick this up at the PvP Accessories vendor in Stormwind/Orgrimmar.

Melee Weapons

[Shadowfang] – The best main-hand sword available at 19. This item is BoE and an extremely rare world drop in Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest. Expect to dish out hundreds if not thousands of gold for this sword, that is, if you can even find it.

[Assassin's Blade] – The best dagger available at 19.
[Cruel Barb] – An alternative main-hand sword. Pick this up from Edwin Van Cleef in The Deadmines in Westfall.

[Thief's Blade] – An alternative off-hand sword. Pick this up from Mr. Smite in The Deadmines in Westfall.

[Protector's Sword] / [Legionnaire's Sword] – Another alternate main-hand sword.
[Sentinel's Blade] / [Scout's Blade] – Another alternate dagger. This Warsong Gulch PvP reward will run you 214 honor and 30 Warsong Battle Marks. Avaliable from vendors outside of the in-game entrances to Warsong Gulch for each faction.

Ranged Weapon

[Venomstrike] – The best bow at 19. Pick this up from Lord Serpentis in The Wailing Caverns in The Barrens.

[Outrunner's Bow] / [Outrider's Bow] – Alternate bow. This Warsong Gulch PvP reward will run you 214 honor and 30 Warsong Battle Marks. Available from vendors outside of the in-game entrances to Warsong Gulch for each faction.

Hopefully by now you have a pretty good idea of what they need to be looking for in twink items. This list is not definitive because even at 19 there is some degree of leeway in gear, but these items are the best of the best.

Special Armor and How To Get It

The Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Extravanganza

Held every Sunday between 2PM and 4PM server time. This event offers two very important items for 19 Twinks: [Lucky Fishing Hat] and [Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots]. But what makes these items so special? Aside from their absolutely ridiculous stats, [Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots] are considered by the game to be a lvl 40 item. This means that enchants that ?requires item level 39 or higher? can be applied to these shoes, even though you?ll be wearing them at lvl 19. Getting these two pieces is fairly simple, but takes some degree of luck and alot of patience. Not only will you be trying to fish up certain ?special fish? to turn in for these items, you?ll be doing it in a lvl 40 zone. Interesting, isn?t it? But it?s not all bad, there are a couple of safe locations to cast your line.

First and foremost you?ll need to get your fishing to 150. This is fairly easy and can be done in about 30 minutes in Stormwind/Orgrimmar. After you?ve topped out your fishing be sure to pick up (or craft) some [Aquadynamic Fish Attractor]. When applied to your fishing pole these increase your fishing skill by 100, making you able to fish in Stranglethorn Vale. When Sunday rolls around head to Booty Bay before 2PM and get ready to fish! There are two areas I usually fish in: Yojamba Island, and south of Booty Bay. See a map here.

Yojamba Island (north-west) is the most safe area to fish, but is also small and (usually) overpopulated with twinks. The shoreline south of Booty Bay is also another viable area, just be sure to watch out for mobs patroling the beach. If you do happen to aggro one swim out to sea to break aggro.

So we know how, when, and where to fish, but what are we trying to catch? Rare fish of course! You?ll need to cast out into Speckled Tastyfish nodes which appear when the tournament starts and despawn when it ends. Odds are you?ll catch alot of [Speckled Tastyfish], but your real goal here is [Keefer's Angelfish] and [Brownell's Blue Striped Racer]. When and if you catch one of these fish you?ll need to head into Booty Bay and turn it in at the NPCs in front of the Inn. Turning in a [Keefer's Angelfish] rewards a [Lucky Fishing Hat] and a [Brownell's Blue Striped Racer] results in [Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots].

So you?ve done your dailies – everyday, you?ve cleared Heroics and Karazhan for Badges until your eyes bleed, maybe you?re even utterly tired of farming Illidan every week or wiping on Kil?Jaeden. But what now?

Level another character? Cancel your subscription until Wrath?

Well, your solution is making a Twink. The simple explanation is that they are characters with the best possible gear for their level (including enchants), whose purpose is PvP, and their playground is the 10-19 bracket of Warsong Gulch Battlegrounds.

This guide will not be a walk through on getting the full Blackened Defias set and dual Cruel Barbs with Fiery. By following this guide you will be able to create and gear your Rogue with the absolute best possible stats available at lvl 19.

Part 1: Choosing A Race

When choosing the race of your twink you will want to be very selective of racial traits. Every little advantage helps. Below I will detail each available races abilities and review their usefulness in PvP at lvl 19. The following skills are viable in creating the rogue twink.

Final Thoughts on Choosing Your Race:

Personally for my twink I chose Gnome. Escape Artist is an excellent snare dispel, and is almost like having a second [Insignia of the Alliance] or [Insignia of the Horde]. Also, keep in mind that you?ll want to choose a race of the same faction of your lvl 70(s). Creating an elite twink will cost anywhere from 1,000-2,000g, and will require the help of your buddies.

Edit: If you have enjoyed this post then you would be glad to know that KillerGuides have the latest Rogue Guides and will tell you everything there is to know about them. By the end of their guides they will have you in T6, waiting to take your Rogue madness out on Illidan himself. I have used KillerGuides Rogue Guide when I was leveling my main character and he has turned out fine. You can view my character on the Armory, the name is Visin. Be sure to check out the latest guide here. I still am working on another Rogue and I am currently using the guide, I also picked up another one for my friend in real life to cover Christmas.
