Azeroth Now Twink Package

Tip #1: Sell what you do not have

You will be in front of the Auction House in whatever city and pretty much linking things that sell quite easily. Sounds easy? Well it is. Lets say that there is an item in the Auction House for around 500 gold, you then will proceed to link the item in /2 or “Trade” channel and put up “WTS (Item) 600 gold. PST Now!”. With this trick you buyout the item you see in the Auction House for 500 gold then you turn around and sell it to the guy who wants to buy it for 600 gold.

Notes: You can make up any amount of money that you feel comfortable with but I used 600 gold just to name a price. This works on anything else in the Auction House, just be fast and be nice.

Tip #2: Buy Low Sell High

This should be common sense to most but you will not believe how many people simply overlook this. For this all you need to do is know you stuff. You should be able to spot a good deal when you see one then you will sell the item back in the Auction House or Trade channel for higher than what you paid for it. Stick with that strategy and you will never go wrong!

Note: Be sure to know how the market is doing so you do not get ripped off. I for one have been ripped before but it was only because I did not study the trends of the market and I bought too much and never could sell it all. Think!

Tip #3: Use those skills!

You have profession skills for a reason, not to just get those pretty achievement points! Use your skills man. Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, and Fishing, those are what we call “Gathering” skills, where all you need to do is go out and grab the materials. People pay ridiculous prices for the things you do, just because most people are lazy. Gather that ore and go to the Auction House and lay it on the people, they will eat up your ore just so they don’t have to farm it themselves!

Now most of these tips are self explanatory but who needs a bunch of confusing mumbo jumbo that really yields no more gold than simple tactics? Players always buy materials

This needs to be a key element in your gold making strategy is to know that all players are looking for an easier way to come up with the materials needed to make what they are seeking without having to farm for it. Players are lazy so you should take the time to reap the benefits of their lazyness.
Enchanting

• Dust: more often disenchants from Uncommon Armor and less often from Uncommon Weapons.
• Essence: more often disenchants from Uncommon Weapons and less often from Uncommon Armor. Three Lesser Essences can be converted to one Greater Essence of the same type, and vice versa.
• Shard: usually disenchants from Rare and Epic items (<60) and rarely from Uncommon items.
• [Nexus Crystal]: always disenchants from Epic items (51-60) and rarely from any Rare items (51-60).
• [Void Crystal]: always disenchants from Epic items (>60) and rarely from any Rare items (61+).
• [Abyss Crystal]: always disenchants from Epic items (>70) and rarely from any Rare items (71+)

There are ways to get the above items easily which will either come down to you either buying them or you can go out an farm for them. Most people already know the basics of buying materials so I will not dwell much into that aspect but farming for those items may prove useful for some if you are a higher level.

The above video is me demonstrating at level 80 how easy it is to farm gold by only taking out around 5 mins out of my time for each pull. On my character I have enchanting so I can easily get to the boss, grab the loot from them and then disenchant the items to receive the materials need for the Crafting professions that some other player will need, netting me the gold that I am after.

As I slightly explain in the video, I am farming Scarlet Monastery Cathedral and only taking time to kill the bosses and get Small Radiant Shards, which on my server go from 9 gold and higher depending on the saturation of the market at the time. This is only one way you can take advantage of being 80 though.

What Instances Should I Do?

This question is greatly dependant on how well you know your character, your level, and your gear that you have. The best instances are instances that you have no problem with pulling more than average amounts of enemies at one time and still live. The following instances have been very popular for farming for drops;

Is there Specific Gear to Bring?

Ah. You got me on that one. The type of gear that you should bring with you is anything that will maximize your Health while also improving your best AoE spell so you can take down a lot of enemies at once very fast but also keeping yourself alive. The main thing with gear here is just making sure it is good enough for your level instances or heroic instances.

Addon Love

The addons that I would reccomend are ones that track your gold per hour and also ones that show different loot tables of enemies that you know you should be farming. You should also get some addons that bring fun to farming as we all know it gets a little boring some times. Here are some addons that I use to entertain myself along with providing help along the way.

Titan Panel

Titan Panel adds a control panel bar on the top and/or bottom of the screen and allows a framework for extensive plugin support.

Atlasloot Enhanced

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game. It can access full item tooltips, show drop rates, allow items to be chat linked and to use the dressing room.

Auctioneer

From purchasing to posting, the Auctioneer Suite provides time-tested tools to allow you more time to actually play your characters or play the market. As you will soon discover, it is much more than a simple “Auctioning AddOn”, the Auctioneer Suite also shows in-depth information for all game items, such as those used in quests or recipes, and much, much more.

Gatherer

Gatherer is an addon for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters in World of Warcraft. It’s main purpose is to track the closest plants, deposits and treasure locations on your minimap.

Being Creative is Key

Switch it up a little bit. Learn how to be different while running to your next quest turn in, jump around, jump on top of a tree stump and jump off of it. I am not telling you this so you will look silly, which you will, instead I am telling you this just to get you to get your mind off the leveling.

Take pictures as you run. Have you seen the joggers who jog and then take pictures just for art? Well, consider that your new hobby while leveling up your rogue to the max. Later on when you are the maximum level you can then stare at your Rogue’s glory and get all teary-eyed when you see it as a baby!

You are a Rogue, Act Like One

Unlock some locked boxes. Nothing is more relaxing while leveling a Rogue than to go out in Stormwind and unlock some boxes, and maybe even make some tips too! You can go around saying that you will unlock them for free and most people even pay you for your time.

Farm for some gear. Just because you are leveling does not stop from obtaining gear for you to Rogue, and it might even help you to level your Roue later! You can take a rest from back-to-back quests and start grinding for that Rare BOE that you wanted or you could do some instance runs to get that new Dagger or Sword you may be looking for.

Reward yourself for Leveling your Rogue

Ding and relax. All guides tell you how to make the most efficient run for you to get there the quickest way and THAT is true and all but it is a mental workout doing all that without a break! After you hit the next level on your Rogue you can lay back and take a break from all of it, it will surely help out later.

Set goals and rewards. Everyday when I am leveling my Rogue I get on and set goals for myself so that I have something to look forward to, and when that goal is complete I will let myself go eat, go do a Battleground for fun and maybe even go to town to hang out with friends. It is very pleasurable to level your Rogue when you know you get to do stuff after wards.

As you can tell, I know quite a bit about leveling in general, but most of all I know how to level my Rogue the right way, and I have always known how from past MMO experiences with the same general class such as the “Treasure Hunter” from Lineage 2 and any other Melee class on other RPG’s.

What I recommend for you today is to go and get Zygor’s leveling guide so that you level your rogue the fastest and so you can reap the benefits of being level 80 in a few days! I am leveling with Zygor and so should you, I have no regretted it at all.

• Read the Quest Description – You know reading quests might take a bit more of your time but it’s actually healthy and fun too. Instead of viewing quests as kill this and gather that…. you’ll read it as, “Oh I have to kill these bastards who are ruining the hunting grounds for the Tuskar” or “okay I’ll help this poor Tauren out because some bastard killed her grandson”
• Take shots of the environment – I was riding this ship-like trolley towards Kamagua and the scenery was just breath taking. So much work was put into creating the environment for this game. Learn to appreciate it by taking screenshots (just press print screen!) or just by looking at it and appreciating where you are. I actually think that Northrend scenery is much much better than in the Outlands where everything looked Sci-fi.
• Socialize with People – Sometimes it’s fun to hang out in towns other than your main city. So when you’re turning in your quests in towns and you see fellow Horde or Alliance, do not hesitate to say hi and do a quick chat. Just ask how they are…you’ll never know you may be on the same quest line so you can group up and quest much faster.

If you have never been in a raid before and you simply do not know if you would be considered good in a raid you need to be looking at yourself  to see if you possess these following skills and if not today maybe a great day to take on some good qualities.

Qualities to look for:

Friendly – The first impression is what will count to see if you are able to get in a raid and function well. My last guild refused some hardcore raiders because their attitude was a little off, and believe me, that is enough to ruin a raid group. So think positive and aim to help everyone and they will love that about you. Do not be the guy that wants to think selfishly and is cocky during the entire raid, we boot those types of immature players.

Geared Well – I know this is a little redundant but you need to be decently geared for anyone wanting to take you with them as you will need to be adequately geared to at least help out. Before you think of raiding with the big boys check what gear you can use to improve yourself and aim to have all of it before you enter a raid and they will see you have at least met the minimum gear requirement.

Experienced – You need to be experienced in what you do. If you are a healer you will need to know your healer and how you can use it to benefit the raid the most. You are required to know your character inside and out and what to do in every situation or you can say bye bye to your 2nd raid run, which leads me to my next point…

Mechanics Known -Do you know your hit rating requirement? Do you know what the MP5 rule is? If you do not you will need to start looking in to how your character works behind the fleshy exterior and how it ticks. Start thinking math when it is about your character because that math will help you when you are out there in the big scary world of Azeroth.

Being part of a successful team of players means that each player is successful and you will never be successful until you know those basic guidelines. So follow them to the heart and make yourself a better player because in the end, you will benefit from it all.

Read those strategies!

If you want some mega brownie points with your raid leader you should be up to date with all of the raids that you will be attending and how to opperate them. Now, I am not saying to analyze them until you know how to do it, but there is a simpler method, MMO-Champion.

MMO-Champion includes every raid you can think of and the strategies to them and how to be better at them. I could list all the strategies that have been worked out but that would be a waste of time and effort, just check out MMO-Champion if you need help.

Ventrillo for the love of GOD

Okay, I will make this simple, you need Ventrillo. Ventrillo or “Vent” is a VoIP client that allows you to talk to each other in a room using a microphone so you can coordinate yourself better. My guild will not let me raid unless I have Ventrillo on, it is that powerful. Just make sure you bring your full game to the table, no one wants half-assed raids.

Not everything is Hunter gear

When in a raid you do NOT need on items that is not your talent build unless you have direct permission from the raid leader, or you may find yourself out of a raid. It does not matter if the loot type is not set up right by the raid leader, it is up to you that you know basic principles of a raid, and you do not need on everything you see.

Need a break? Too bad.

Breaks are not normally held in a raid, at least I have never been in a raid where we stopped everything because someone wanted to take a break because they were tired, that is NOT acceptable. Things acceptable are the following;

1. Restroom Breaks

2. Immediate Emergency

3. Disconnection From Game

Anything besides the previous conditions are a bootable offence and should not occur in a raid because when in a raid, you mean business.

Are you raid material now? Do you think you stand a chance in the raid field of life? If you have met everything or the majority of what I have talked about here then you will see that soon you will be running raids like you have been killing Murlocs. So stick with your ethics and just stay civil and kind and do your best, thats all that can be asked.

There are a few steps you need to think of before you start to plan out your goals for the day,week, or even month and I have them all in a nice little list.

1. Set realistic goals

Goals can not and will not be obtained by people who set them too high, it just can not be done. The solution to this is to set goals that you know you will be able to reach and maybe even surpass your goals. The reason for setting your goals low is because you need to have some sort of self accomplishment in the day and everyday to drive more will and focus into yourself, which will lead to perfecting yourself and reaching the higher goals.

2. Plan it out

Some choose to do this differently but I do think it is better if you just plan things out. It is less stressful to know that you have to achieve a certain level in the game if you know by what time and how fast you think you will be able to do it. Plan out each day of World of Warcraft before you even log in the game, and think it through. Most importantly think of your real life situations that you need to attend to before you start to set goals for your day and by doing just that you will be able to have a better day enjoying and fulfilling your goals in the game.

3. Meet your goals

I would be lieing to you if I told you that you do not need to worry about your goals, as that would be self defeating. You need to keep the goals in your head as you have set them so there must be a purpose for them. Keep the goals in mind and aim to achieve them and keep yourself on a strict discipline because if you are serious about your game then you will be serious about your goals, in game. Meeting your goals in game is a very rewarding process because over 11 million play the game and no where close to 11 million are great at the game. After you have met your goals plan out your relaxation period to reward yourself for being such a great gamer and do what you do best, game.

As you can see, most World of Warcraft gamers do not have such a strict discipline as some of the more “hardcore” gamers and because of this there is competition and competition is what I like to see in my gaming life, as there is no better satisfaction at the end of the day than telling someone else, “I am better than you!”.
